How to block facebook on your computer system

You don’t need any software to block Facebook,  you can block facebook manually with this trick. To do this you have to just made some changes to your Window’s host file.

Here is the trick for blocking facebook on your Computer System:

Step1:- Go to your C: drive  and locate the following location:

C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/DRIVERS/ETC                  

Step2:- Locate Host File, now open it with notepad and Write or paste following lines of code at the end of file or just below #127.0.0.1 localhost:

#Block Facebook

127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com

127.0.0.1 login.facebook.com

127.0.0.1 blog.facebook.com

127.0.0.1 apps.facebook.com

Step3:- Now save your file and close notepad.

Step4:- Now try to open facebook on any browser.It won’t open. If this trick don’t work than restart your system and try again.

• Note! Location of host file is depends on the type of Operating System you are using. Location of host file is different for Unix, Linux and Mac operating System.
• Make a backup of the host file before using this trick.

You can also try this trick to block other websites. You have to just write the address of that site instead of facebook. For example if you want to block yahoo on your computer system then write the following lines:

#block Youtube

#127.0.0.1 www.youtube.com

This trick can be useful in any School or institutes or offices, where you don’t want students or employess to use social networking media sites in school hours. You can block any social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Google+ etc using this trick.
