Hiren boot is third party tool which is very very useful to do many tasks like system restore,password recovery, manual backup.
It is a bootable software CD containing a number of diagnostic programs such as partitioning agents, system performance benchmarks, disk cloning and imaging tools, data recovery tools, MBR tools, BIOS tools, and many others for fixing various computer problems. Choose 3rd Option : Password and Registry Tools
Now choose 1st Option : Active Password Changer
Select your Logical Drive List in which Windows is installed (basically the C Drive)
Choose Hard Drive in which windows is installed
Now it would start searching the SAM databases in your chosen logical drive.

It will detect and list the databases. Press Enter to continue.
Now it would list the Usernames present in your windows login sequence.
Select your choice to select a Username to crack.
The following Screen apears with a option “Clear this User’s Password”. It is selected by default. Just press “Y” and Oh You are done.
Now just remove the boot CD and Reboot your Machine.
This time you don’t need to enter any password. Your user is unprotected and you can assign a new password to it.
Advantage : No matter How much complex your password is ? Hiren’s Boot CD removes every password.
Disadvantage : It does not show the old password i.e., You can not see the password in plain text. You can just update it.

How to Use it for Windows Password Cracking :
Boot the ISO image from CD or from a USB Pen Drive.
