How to hide ‘Last Seen’ timestamp on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has finally rolled out the feature to disable to the 'Last Seen' timestamp on Android smartphones. While this feature has been available for iPhones for long, Android users have got this option now only.

The new feature is not available via the WhatsApp app on Google Play Store as of now and you will have to do a bit of tweaking in Settings menu to get it. Here's how you can disable the 'Last Seen' timestamp on Android:

Whatsapp for Windows and MAC

1) Download it and install it..
2) You need to have a proper internet to complete the installation.
3) After you are done with the download, click on "App Search" and search "Whatsapp Messenger".
4) You will be redirected to Google Play website. This is the general procedure to search any android app. 5) Alternatively, you can click here to directly download Whatsapp.

                     
                   
                            


6) Click on install and the download starts.
7) After you finish the download, you are ready to use the whatsapp.

Note: You need to add the contacts individually. You cannot synchronize your contacts directly from facebook or gmail.

8) Open your settings and click on contacts.
9) Click on "add new contact" and enter the details of the person and click ok.
10) You have successfully created a contact. Now start chatting..
